The HPCL Computer Based Test (CBT) consists of two major sections: General Aptitude and Technical / Professional Knowledge. The exam pattern is the same for most engineering positions.

Important Notes

No negative marking for MCQ questions.
General Aptitude includes Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, English and Data Interpretation.
Technical questions will be based on the candidate’s engineering discipline.

HPCL CBT Qualifying Marks

Technical / Professional Knowledge: Minimum 50% qualifying marks.
Overall CBT Qualifying Marks: 60% for UR/EWS/OBC candidates.
Candidates qualifying CBT will be shortlisted for Group Task and Personal Interview.
